Baba Saheb BhimRao Ambedkar Law College is an associated college of University of Lucknow and is located in the city of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. Lucknow also known as 'Awadh' is the city of Nawabs. Sheikhzadas settled in the 11th century on the Gomti River and build a fort, 'Qila Likhna'. In 1775 Asif-ud-Daula shifted his capital from Faizabad to Lucknow and together with a French 'adventurer' Claude Martin, enlivens the City with flamboyant buildings. The main monuments are the Great Imambara, Asafi Mosque, Rumi Darwaza, old British residency, the Chowk, and Martin's places: Farhat Daksh (Chattar Manzil), Dilkusha Palace, Bailey Guard Gate, Lal Baradari, Begum Kothi and Kursheed Manzil.
