EAMCET Counselling Procedure Announced
EAMCET counselling for admissions to engineering, medical, agriculture and pharmacy courses based on Eamcet rank will begin in the first week of July. The counselling will be fully web based this time and students will be given an admission online.
To acquire a password to the EAMCET Counselling Online system, students will have to reach out to one of the 50 helpline centres, get their certificates and credentials verified. Government has done its best to create a very complex system of acquisition of passwords and reset of password policy to confuse the students. A password will be given to a student only if he has the following EAMCET 2009 stipulated documents in his / her hands.
1. Hall Ticket for EAMCET 2009
2. EAMCET Rank Card
3. Date of Birth Proof
Eamcet Counselling Procedure
1. Candidates reach out to the EAMCET 2009 Helpline centers to validate their certificates etc. along with the documents mentioned above
2. Helpline centers will give them a password that can be used for web based EAMCET Counselling
3. If a password is lost, candidate has to re approach the helpline center and reset the same
4. Students will be given 10 days to submit their final list of colleges
5. After the last date, students options will be frozen and no changes will be allowed
6. Final list will be released by the board after which the students will be able to admit themselves into the selected colleges.
Once a password is acquired, students will have to indicate their desired colleges online. KC Reddy, chairman of the SCHE recommended that students opt for a large number of colleges during the EAMCET web Counselling, so that one of the options is fulfilled. Also, password should be guarded carefully so that others dont take advantage of the situation and change options or drive other malpractices. During the discussion, Mr. Reddy also indicated that the final fee structure for colleges will be decided by End of June.

Eamcet counselling - Retaining of certificates at Registration spot - Whether they will be returned or not, if I cancel the seat
As per the guidelines mentioned in the notification of APEAMCET, "After attending for registration at helpline center of APEAMCET, The submitted certificates will be retained by the officials of HLC." But, If I want to join into any other institution for B.Tech or else, whether my original certificates can be returned to me before I join to any seat through APEAMCET. Please suggust me, as I have an oppurtunity to get seat in fourth iteration of BITS,Pilani as it will be announced on 30th july 2009, What will be going on.
"The counselling procedure and dates for certificate verification will be announced after the EAMCET ranks are declared. Before the student can participate in the online counselling, he has to necessarily get his certificates verified at the helpline centres. Candidates who fail to report for certificate verification will not be considered for the allotment of a seat.
Every candidate has to produce certificates like the hall-ticket, rank card and all original certificates necessary for admissions.
After verification, all the original certificates will be retained and a receipt issued. Students would be informed of the procedure to be followed to exercise options, details of banks and tuition fee after the certificate verification at the helpline centres. - Edu1000"
