Maharashtra State Government Plan to Allocate Only 10% seats to Non-SSC Students


The Maharashtra state government has proposed a reservation policy of allocating 90% seats for SSC students. This reservation policy made some parents of the non-SSC board students of class X fuming with rage. A group of 50 parents in the city has been preparing to go to court over the issue.

Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil, State Education Ministeron Monday said, that the Maharashtra state government plan to allocate 90% seats to SSC and 10% for ICSE, CBSE and IGCSE students.

This proposal by the state government has upset the parents of the students who have passed class X exams from the CBSE, ICSE and other boards. Around 50 parents in the city gathered on Tuesday evening to discuss the course of action. Pramod Shingte a parent said , they have decided to take legal action.
