Chennai registers top performance in CBSE exams
Girls continued to outshine boys by registering a pass percentage of 85.9 against 77.4 of boys in the Class XII exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education. CBSE announced that 81 per cent students cleared the test an increase of 0.09 percent this year compared to last out of a total 637,976 students registered for this year's exam.
EAMCET Counselling 2009
Admissions to Engineering and Medical colleges this year will be fully web based and the official decision and circular supporting the same is expected to be released in a few weeks. In the new web based system, candidates can opt for their choices and the software will generate options based on parameters like variety of courses and colleges that include NBA-accredited; reservations based on gender, region, caste and sub-divisions within reservations; double payment seats, sliding, sports and NCC quota among others.
Eamcet Results 2009 on June 1
The EAMCET 2009 results are likely to be released on May 31 or June 1 while the final ranks would be declared in the fourth week of June. EAMCET-2009 Convenor LVSR Sarma said that they were confident of getting the Intermediate results before June fourth week. The software designed for the final rank calculation will not take much time in clubbing Intermediate marks and the EAMCET score to give the final rank.
